This briefing note provides an analysis of the operation of the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) – one of the largest sources of nature finance in the UK.
The briefing proposes that there needs to be significant changes in how regulated investment views the links between healthy landscapes, water security, and nature recovery, and presents a case for how WINEP could deliver greater public value for nature, water security and communities.
